How it works

Four taps. No loose files.

Convert from the Share sheet in Photos — exactly where your RAWs already live.

  1. 01

    Start from Photos

Select photos, tap Share, and choose Convert RAW to HEIC in the Share sheet.

  2. 02

    Confirm the estimate

An inline Snippet shows exactly how much you'll save — and lets you opt out of deleting originals.

  3. 03

    Watch it work

A Live Activity shows progress on Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and the Mac menu bar. Keep using your phone.

  4. 04

    Safe cleanup

If you chose to delete, RAW originals move to Recently Deleted — restorable for 30 days.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What formats does it support?
Canon CR2 and CR3, Sony ARW, Nikon NEF and NRW, Fuji RAF, Olympus ORF, Panasonic RW2, Adobe DNG, and iPhone ProRAW DNG. If Photos can open it, RawToHEIC can convert it.
Will it delete my RAW originals?
Only if you choose to. The delete toggle is off by default; when on, originals move to Recently Deleted — a 30‑day safety net — and RAWs are never removed until the HEIC is verified in Photos.
Does it work with iCloud Photos?
Yes. Converted HEICs sync back through iCloud Photos like any other edit you make on device. Large libraries convert incrementally.
What about edits I've made in Photos?
Edits, crops, adjustments, favorites, album membership, and captions are all carried forward to the HEIC. You can keep editing non‑destructively afterward.
Does it preserve HDR?
iPhone ProRAW gain maps are preserved as‑is. For other RAWs, RawToHEIC synthesizes an ISO 21496‑1 HDR gain map from the RAW's extended dynamic range where the sensor data supports it.
Is my data collected?
No. Zero analytics, zero telemetry, zero third‑party SDKs, and no network access is required for conversion. The App Store privacy label reads: Data Not Collected.
One‑time purchase or subscription?
One‑time, $19.99 USD. Universal purchase across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Supports Family Sharing. No subscription, now or later.
